Officials are investigating after a roof collapsed at a Gardena casino Monday morning, injuring 11 people, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

GARDENA, Calif. – The roof of a Gardena casino has collapsed, prompting the building to be evacuated Monday morning.

Around 10 a.m. the roof of the Lucky Lady casino, at 1045 Rosecrans, collapsed. Los Angeles County firefighters and Gardena police are investigating the partial building collapse.

While there were no major injuries in the collapse, 11 people did sustain minor injuries of which seven were transported to the hospital after being evaluated by medics at the scene.

Police are working with the casino staff to ensure the money and property is secure.
